From the Ashes

Artwork depicting Master Chief and Cortana discussing her rampancy after crashing onto the surface of Requiem. Halo 4 is easily one of my favorite Halo stories ever told with such a relatable and emotional story.

I also owe a shoutout to Cole Carson (chunch7275.artstation.com) for their retexture of Halo 5's Master Chief model to resemble Halo 4's take on the armor. In addition to their work, I created a simple procedural grime shader to cover Chief's armor and add some slight grime to his visor since he is just standing up from a crash.

On a small note, I tried to blend cortana's appearance in Blur's H2A cinematics with her appearance from the Forward Unto Dawn film. Subtle effects pulled from both.
